Meteorologist Zane Satre spoke with Kindergarten classes about weather. He discussed different types of weather including snow, lightning, rain, wind, clouds, tornadoes and sun. He connected the types of weather to the seasons. Finally he demonstrated how a cloud is made using a plastic bottle for students to visualize.

Zane visited as a connection to the Knowledge literacy unit on Seasons and Weather. During this unit students learned about the seasons and their characteristics, units of time in relationship to one another, weather and how it affects our daily routine, how to be safe during a thunderstorm and so much more. Students also had an opportunity to draw and write about the characteristics of the seasons.
