Laura Keyser is a High School Spanish Teacher celebrating 5 years at ADM this year.  She was born and raised in Liberty, MO and she taught Spanish and English at LaFayette High School in St. Joseph, MO for a couple of years before coming to ADM.  She chose ADM because of the positivity and teamwork that she was able to experience right away after being hired.  To this, she states, “The way I teach today is because of the amazing veteran teachers at ADM that helped guide me through my first couple years of teaching.”  She stays with ADM because the students she’s gotten to meet over the years have inspired her to push herself and grow as a teacher.  Laura always wanted to be a teacher.  There are many reasons why but, as she states, “I think it boils down to being able to be a part of providing a safe place for students to explore the world and try new things.”  Her favorite part of teaching at ADM is getting opportunities to have students take part in cultural activities, especially trying new foods.

When Laura is not teaching in her classroom, she enjoys spending time with her husband, Paul, and their little dog, Ginger.  She also loves to go running and is hoping to complete her first marathon this month.  If she’s not running or spending time with Paul and Ginger, you will probably find her reading, drinking coffee, and/or gaming.

Thank you, Laura Keyser, for your 5 years of service with ADM!
