Evan Jorgenson is an 8th and 9th grade science teacher at ADM Middle School and ADM High School. He is celebrating 5 years of service at ADM this year. Evan grew up in Des Moines, IA and went to college at University of Iowa and Drake University. He was a coach prior to teaching. When Evan was asked why he wanted to become a teacher, he stated, “As a coach many years ago, my players told me I was the reason for their growth and success. I wanted to continue that with a career in the classroom.” Being able to work with many different people with their own unique, amazing qualities is what he loves most about being a teacher. He also loves seeing the growth of the students he teaches from the beginning of 8th grade to the end of 9th grade.
When Evan is not working in the classroom, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and being creative.
