Emily Jobst celebrates 5 years of service with ADM this year!
Emily is a 1st grade teacher at Adel Elementary School. She was born and raised in Royal, IA and attended college at Morningside University. She is starting her 8th year in her teaching career. Prior to ADM, Emily taught kindergarten in Emmetsburg, IA. She wanted to be a teacher because she has a passion for working with children and helping them grow and learn.
Emily chose ADM because everyone was so welcoming when she interviewed, and it felt like a place she wanted to be every day. She stays with ADM because the people she works with make coming to work everyday enjoyable. She states, “The students at AE and their families make it a special place to be and it has been so rewarding to work with them. I like that all teachers here share the same passion for learning with students and setting goals to be better educators and people.”
Outside of work, Emily likes being active outside. She enjoys running, hiking, pickleball, and sand volleyball. She also loves traveling, going to concerts, trying new restaurants, and spending time with her friends and family, especially her two nieces.
