Traci Haxton is a graduate from Illinois State (BA), Ashford University (MA), and University of Northern Iowa (Instructional Coach Certification). She is entering her 27th year of teaching. Traci comes to ADM from North Scott Community School District in Eldridge, IA and is joining the ADM Middle School family as an Eighth Grade Literacy Teacher.
Outside of school, Traci loves to spend time with her family and their two Chesapeake Bay Retrievers. She also enjoys reading mystery/thrillers, crafting shirts and wood projects, kayaking on calm lakes or rivers, cooking for her family, and traveling to new places. Traci knew she wanted to be a teacher from a very young age, she has always loved children and feels blessed to be a positive influence in their lives. Traci and her husband moved to Adel in 2023 from the Quad Cities. They chose this community because it was small and close to family. Traci chose to take her first year in Adel as a sub and she loved what she saw while subbing in this district! She shares, “Teachers work closely together and always put the students’ needs first. The administrators are supportive and willing to help out whenever needed. The curriculum is up to date and follows best practices. I was so impressed with every aspect that I couldn’t wait to join the staff!” Please welcome Traci Haxton to the ADM Middle School team!
