ADM MS/HS Families,

In an effort to increase the safety and security of the ADM MS/HS Campus, secured entries and buzzer entry systems have been installed on both the Middle School and High School entrance doors. The new entry systems will require new behaviors and routines for ADM staff, students, and families.

Please read the following information to learn more about the new procedures that will be in place at ADM MS/HS for the 2024-25 school year.

Entering the School Buildings:

  • All Doors Locked Until 7:30 AM: All doors and entrances will be locked until 7:30 AM.
    • Students should not arrive at school before 7:30 AM.
  • Main Entrances Unlock at 7:30 AM: The main entrances to the Middle School and High School will unlock at 7:30 AM.
    • At this time students will be able to enter the building and wait in the Middle School or High School commons until school starts at 8:15 AM.
    • Students will be supervised and monitored during this time.
  • Main Entrances Locks at 8:15 AM: The main entrances to the Middle School and High School will lock at 8:15 AM.
    • Anyone arriving after 8:15 AM and throughout the day will be required to use the buzzer system located at the MS and HS entrances to request entry into the building.

Before School Practices and Activities:

  • All doors will remain locked during AM practices:
    • Coaches and activity sponsors will not unlock doors but will meet students to let them into the building.
  • Coach and Activity Sponsor Expectations:
      • Coaches and sponsors will meet students at a specific door during a specific window of time when students will be let into the building.
      • At the end of the specific window of time, the coaches and activity sponsors will leave the door and start practice.
  • Students Arriving Late for Practice:
      • Coaches and sponsors will not be required to allow late student entrance to the building.
      • The doors will remain locked and late students will not be able to enter on their own.
      • Coaches and sponsors will have the flexibility to develop their own procedures for if and how they will respond to late arrivals. These plans may not include unlocking or propping doors to allow students to enter on their own.
  • Parent, Student, and Family Expectations:
    • Students are expected to arrive at the specific door and during the specific window of time that the coach communicates will be used for morning practice arrival.
    • Students should not be dropped off before or after the window of time that the coach will meet students at the door.
    • Parents who drop off students are responsible for ensuring their child has entered the building PRIOR to leaving the premises.
